‘Helping people and putting a smile on their faces is a great great thing.’ Wayne Gerard Trotman

As a part of our curriculum to help the children develop the feelings of empathy and compassion towards the little ones who are not so priviledged, a Charity Bake Sale was organized for the students and parents of The Indian Academy Sharjah to help underpriviledged children with education.

The students were shown a video of the children who are in urgent need for help to have access to education.  The students discussed on the importance of education.

They were asked to bring in baked food items packed hygienically with a distant date of expiry. The items were sorted and segregated.  On the 21st of May, the children and their parents purchased the items at a nominal price of AED 2 to AED 4.  It was touching to see the little ones purchase tokens and independently decide on what they wish to purchase. The overwhelming response from the students, their parents, guests and the staff was commendable.

All proceeds will be sent towards sponsoring a child with education in India.
