Trip to Arabian Wildlife Centre  and Animal Farm

The students of the Kindergarten and Primary Section of the Indian Academy, Sharjah visited the Arabian Wildlife Centre and Animal Farm to get a hands on experience with the wild and farm animals in general and also the ones unique to this region

This trip helped them develop a better understanding of their ongoing Unit on ‘Animals around us’ as they viewed a variety of animals, birds, insects and reptiles at the Wildlife Centre.  They also got a first-hand experience of feeding the farm animals at the ‘Children’s Farm’, which is a very rare activity for them today.  The students enjoyed watching the animals in their natural habitat.

They were awestruck when they entered a special dark chamber which familiarized them with the animals that come out only at night.  The sound effects added to the natural atmosphere created to help them develop a better understanding of the habits and habitat of all the animals of the region.  The trip not only enhanced their understanding of animals but also helped them appreciate the need to take care of animals.
